Celebrating 10 Years of EDI Qatar - A Decade of Learning, Growth, and Collaboration.

This year marks a very special milestone — it has been 10 years since the Education Development Institute (EDI Qatar) began its journey under the umbrella of the Qatar Foundation, and since I first had the privilege of working alongside this wonderful organisation.

Reflecting on the past decade, I feel an immense sense of gratitude. From the very beginning, EDI has been committed to empowering educators, school leaders, and learning communities across Qatar and the wider region. Its mission - to nurture professional growth and inspire excellence in education.

Through my collaborations with EDI, I’ve had the honour of supporting dedicated educators who share a common purpose: to make learning more inclusive, engaging, and transformative for every student. Together, we’ve explored innovative pedagogies, strengthened leadership practices, and built professional learning communities that continue to grow and thrive.

Last week, I had the privilege of returning to Doha as one of the Field Representatives for the IB authorised workshops hosted by EDI Qatar. It was an opportunity to connect with old friends and new to witness their passion for personal development and learning within their own contexts.

Moments like these remind me why I do what I do. Education is, at its heart, a human endeavour - about connection, curiosity, and continuous reflection. Working with EDI over the years has been an ongoing reminder that when we invest in professional growth, we truly invest in the future.

Here’s to a decade of partnership, purpose, and professional learning - and to many more years of empowering educators to create meaningful, inclusive learning environments for all.
