"Elevating Practice and Purpose at Bloomingdale, Vijayawada"
Located on the banks of the sacred Krishna River and framed by the lush Eastern Ghats, Vijayawada is a dynamic city known for its rich cultural heritage, bustling markets, and deep spiritual roots. Often called the "Commercial Capital of Andhra Pradesh," the city is a thriving hub of education, trade, and tradition. From the historic Kanaka Durga Temple perched on Indrakeeladri Hill to the buzzing energy of Benz Circle and the architectural marvel of the Prakasam Barrage, Vijayawada is a beautiful blend of the ancient and the modern.
It was in this dynamic setting that I spent two powerful days with the passionate educators of Bloomingdale International School. The school was buzzing with curiosity, collaboration, and a deep commitment to nurturing student agency and inclusive learning environments.
A sincere thank you to Apu Dey and Harsimran Kaur Kapany for their generous hospitality and thoughtful hosting. Their commitment to professional learning was evident throughout my visit, reflected not only in the purposeful planning but also in the personal touches -from the carefully selected hotel, the delicious and thoughtful lunch choices (created by the school's talented chef) to the truly magnificent gift which has already found a home on my office wall, serving as a wonderful reminder of my visit every day!
Thank you, Bloomingdale, for your energy, openness, and drive to keep growing. Vijayawada, you were a wonderful second chapter in this learning journey. Next stop - Pathways World School Gurgaon.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with such thoughtful educators - more stories and snapshots to come as my journey across India continues!
