Session Objectives

1. Understand the role of explicit skill development across the PYP and MYP

(DP) and how it supports student agency and lifelong learning.

2. Examine the ATL skills framework and transdisciplinary skills, identifying

connections and progression between the programmes.

3. Explore how the IB Learner Profile supports skill development, and consider

how it can be intentionally embedded in everyday learning experiences.

4. Engage in inquiry-based activities that model how to plan and reflect on skill

development using real-life contexts.

5. Collaboratively unpack programme documentation (ATL, transdisciplinary

skills, and learner profile) to identify opportunities for alignment and

integration across the continuum.
